The Owner of
OL Woman In The Shoe Films

When I was eight years old, I wrote a play for my third grade class. It was about a flying turtle, and somehow it was a big hit (probably because it got us out doing math that day).  After that, I was hooked on putting together little skits. I loved creating stories and producing them whenever a teacher would allow it.

I was fortunate enough to have a high school drama teacher who not only encouraged my playriting, but allowed me to produce my own scripts.

Later in life,  I switched to screenwriting and eventually took classes in filmmaking at the Seattle Film Institute. I now have eleven short films.
In the fall of 2021, I started working on my first feature film, The Best Gifts.  With amateur actors, a budget under $15,000,  and only family helping with equipment; my first feature turned out better than expected. The Best Gifts was selected for almost every film festival that I submitted it to.

I pride myself in writing and filming stories that can stand on their own two feet. The story has to be able to entertain without shock value, such as gratuitous violence, nudity or strong language. My specialty is family-friendly entertainment.

So please, wander about my website and enjoy the sights and sounds.

She had many children, but she knew what to do.
She taught them useful skills and turned them
into her film crew."

Director Reels

2022 -2024 Films

The first video shown was taken from the short film FINDING PEACE . This is the first film that I made with my new Sony A7C. The second movie is my very first feature film, THE BEST GIFTS.

2021 Short Films

I transformed part of my church building into a mock hospital for my film, THE YELLOW BALLOON. I used a DSLR camera to film it and the accompanying film HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELIJAH! The second film was made for my grandson's birthday.

2017 - 2018 Short Films

I made four short films during this time period on my Canon DSLR. These films are part three of my Director's Reel. I had to take a four year break from film school and then I came out swinging with these short videos - films with a tremendous amount of heart and some of my best storytelling.

2013   Film School

Our first films had to be with 8mm cameras - I'll admit that I went through a lot of film due to all the mistakes that I made while trying get the "exposure" right. My first film Walk With Me, touched a lot of hearts, especially those that had a loved one serve in the military. Zucchini War  was filmed with a regular camcorder and Arthur the Pumpkin was my first with a DSLR.
